Ken Katayama

Ken Katayama is a Great Commission influencer and an advocate for unreached people groups. He serves as the President & CEO of Crossover Global which seeks to provide Gospel access to unreached peoples of the world by planting multiplying churches. Ken began serving with Crossover Global in 1999 at the Brazil base.
Born in Brazil, Ken has made his home in the US since 2005. In 2010 Ken became a naturalized US Citizen. He has traveled and ministered in 30 counties and speaks fluent English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Ken is a passionate communicator and his passion for planting churches among unreached people groups is the topic he most enjoys when speaking to churches, organizations, and individuals. He also enjoys speaking about strategies, teamwork, leadership, and practical ways to become involved in missions at any level and finding potential and calling in life.
He has the honor to volunteer as Deputy Leader for the WEA Mission Commission and sat on the board of Missio Nexus (the North American missions association of missions organizations and churches) and COMHINA (The North American missions network focused in the Hispanics in North America). Additionally, he has had the privilege to serve as a Perspectives instructor since 2007. Ken holds a Bible Certificate from the Word of Life (Brazil) and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Columbia International University (Columbia, SC). He is currently completing a Master of Arts in Muslim Studies.
Ken resides in Columbia with his wife Nicole, and three children, Gabby, Lincoln, and Isaac. He enjoys cheering on the Clemson Tigers, watching the World Cup, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
